How To Plan A Last Minute Party With Ease

Last minute parties are a wonderful way of having spontaneous fun with your friends and family. Parties do require a lot of planning and preparation but last minute hosts don’t have that luxury. But some of the best parties are the ones without too much planning involved. If you’ve always liked the idea of a party that just comes together last minute, but not sure how to organise it, never fear. This how-to guide will provide you with some key pointers into making your last minute party a success. Read on and throw your own party in no time.

Get a venue

Depending on when you want to hold your event, last minute party room hire may be difficult but not impossible. Parties and events get cancelled all the time so ring potential venues to see if they have any cancellations. Even if they don’t, they may be able to offer you an alternative solution or recommend another local place nearby. Think outside the box and consider locations that might be up and coming which won’t be as attractive for parties just yet. Always have a backup venue plan just in case you cannot find anywhere last minute.

Use Social Media

Once you have decided upon a suitable venue, it’s time to start inviting some guests. Without being able to send invitations to your party, you’re going to have to use social media. Create an event on Facebook and invite as many people as you like. Try to keep the event private so you don’t end up with complete strangers attending. Try to ask people who know each other so the word about your party will spread quickly. Also, text or call your friends who may not use Facebook much to get them involved too. Your guest list will make or break your party so get a good combination of people to attend. You don’t want a room full of people who are too shy to get involved or a room full of wild party animals either.

Order food and drink online

To save yourself some valuable time, order your food and drink online the night before. If your venue does not cater or if you’re holding your last minute party at home, you’ll need some refreshments for your guests. Get online and order party food that doesn’t take long to prepare or cook. Snacks such as chips, nuts and cupcakes are ideal and take no time to place on a plate or in a bowl. Also, order a variety of drinks, both alcoholic or nonalcoholic for your guests to enjoy. Once ordered, all you have to do is pick it up yourself or have it delivered to your home or venue. If you really are short on time, encourage your guests to bring a drink and a snack they like instead.

Use these tips to throw a brilliant last minute party for any occasion. It doesn’t have to be stressful; you just need to make sure everybody has fun and gets involved. There’s not long left if you’re throwing a spontaneous party for New Year’s Eve, so get organised now!
