When I was a kid, I loved roller coasters. I remember going on them without a care in the world but the last few times I’ve been to theme parks I’ve found myself getting a little panicky.

I have quite the obsession with cars. It doesn’t matter if they are road cars, racing cars or out-of-this-world concepts.
That’s why watching the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) at Snetterton in Norfolk a few weeks ago was a real treat.
I think only car lovers will understand the pure, heart warming thrill that comes from hearing an engine pushed to its limits around a race track.
This time of year the countryside is full of butterflies. I went for a 20 mile walk yesterday to raise some money for a Norwich charity. There were beautiful butterflies everywhere. This peacock butterfly dutifully posed for the camera, unlike so many I’d tried to photograph earlier in the day.
It was amazing walking through overgrown paths with these pretty insects fluttering around us.
